Intranet/Internal Communications - Project Manager
Our client is looking for a Project Manager that has experience running the creation of an internal website/intranet to support employee communications and knowledge base. The site, which they are calling “Intraconnect”, will host information and links to access areas such as HR/Benefits, eLearning, Payroll, Time Tracking and Travel. One can also access other department sites to gather information on policies and procedures as well as have their own site to manage personal information.
As they are building this new Intraconnect portal, they will look to this Project Manager to oversee the process of defining the best development approach (Internal IT or utilizing a third-party vendor), run the RFPs and collaborate with both IT and HR on the creation of this new internal website.
The Intranet Project Manager will lead the initiative to build a new global intranet including planning, execution and development on time and on or below budget. For all stages of the intranet’ s development, this person will be responsible for the RFP process, vendor management, legacy site assessment and inventory. They will serve as conduit between the selected vendor and the internal communication director in the creation of visual design, site navigation, site content, metrics development, engagement and training of users and coordination with key stakeholders, including IT, which requires close partnership. Applies best practices in the development, initiation, planning, execution, control and closing of projects.
Successful project management experience and, specifically experience in developing an intranet required. Screenshot or other examples of previous intranet project management and development required. The intranet will likely be built on the SharePoint platform. SharePoint intranet experience strongly preferred but not 100% required.
